SSG Thomas D. Rabjohn, Us Army Arizona National Guard, OEF
On 3 October 2009 SSG Rabjohn made the ultimate sacrifice for his country and friends, while interrogating an IED in Afghanistan. I was with him and saved my life as well as that of our two of our security personnel and countless other lives that day. He will forever be remembered as a father, friend, mentor, soldier and HERO. Rest in peace my friend. We will see you on the other side when our tour is done.
SSG John W. Pinnix,

FIRST ANNUAL SALUTE TO VETERANS
May 2009
Last Updated 03-21-2010
In 2009, Chapter 1919 combined our normal "Installation of Officers" normally held in May, with our annual picnic normally held in June into this patriotic salute to veterans. This year's event was such a success that we named it "First Annual Salute to Veterans". The event was held at the home of our gracious hosts Harold and Rose Weedon in Driftwood. The event was fun and very moving. We had over 200 Patriots and family member...

My hero is John T. Byrd. I never knew him. I’ve heard he was a great man. He is from my own small county. And I can say he is, always will be, even still in heaven, he is a “Jarhead”. I can only say that because I am an ARMY SSG. You really don’t understand, until your half way across post, the cannon goes off, you stand and salute to area of the flag, and your eyes to swell up with tears.
God bless the LCPL and his family.

March 25th
The United States Congress has designated March 25th of each year as NATIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR DAY, a day dedicated to Medal of Honor recipients.
